Ms Jenny Westin, Executive Director

Jenny J Westin is the Executive Director at the Malaysian Swedish Business Association since 2021. She holds a PhD in Neurobiology from Lund (Sweden), and worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a preclinical researcher for 8 years before relocating to Asia in 2013.  Since relocating with her husband to Malaysia, she has worked as a language teacher and a science tutor, headed the Swedish Women Association’s donation team since 2016, and led a charity since 2020.

Being the daughter of one entrepreneur and married to another, she has seen the hardships and pitfalls of setting up new enterprises from “side line” for most of her life, and is eager to extend MASBA’s network to better support SMEs in Malaysia going forward.


Mr Trine Sofie Tveen Nielsen, Board Director

A high profile business developer and B2B brand strategist, as well as an industry insider with more than two decades experience in international B2B branding, business development and strategic market positioning. Since 2018 Trine has been Board Director at the Malaysian Danish Business Council (MDBC), promoting and strengthening Danish business activities in Malaysia, as well as operating management at DABA, Denmark Asia Business Alliance, a Danish chamber alliance across Southeast and East Asia. In 2020/21 she was the head of MDBC in the role of Executive Director.

She is a passionate entrepreneur, founder of the global business and career incubation company LinkFacility in 2015 and the Danish branding bureau Boosting Business in 2008. Co-founder of Women in Business Denmark, one of the most sought-after professional networks for women in Denmark then.

Awarded as Malaysian Woman Leader by World Woman Leadership Congress & Awards in 2020, as well as nominated in the Leadership Category for Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainability Awards 2020 (ACES). Same year selected as a winner of THE BIZZ Business Excellence Award by World Confederation of Business, Houston. Awarded as “Women Icon” in 2019 by Asia Biz Today, as “one of the most influential, innovative and inspiring women in Malaysia”.
